A single glass of water can make a difference for children around the world…

We take the availability of water for granted, but for almost one billion people around the world it is a luxury they don't have. Diseases caused by lack of clean drinking water is one of the biggest killers of children under 5, so making improvements to access to clean water and sanitation is a priority for UNICEF.

Tap Project is a UNICEF campaign that celebrates the clean and accessible drinking water available as an every day privilege to millions, while helping UNICEF provide safe drinking water to children around the world.

In 2008, 118 New Zealand restaurants, cafes and their patrons supported the inaugural New Zealand Tap Project week in April.

This year, the Tap Project is happening again, and we invite you to dine at Tap Project participating restaurants and cafes around the country during Tap Month, from March 9th - April 9th.

Join the Tap movement and make a difference in children's lives!
